Silky Summer Legs- Homemade

The world of Tumblr. The place filled with  little cats, penny boarders and  quotes from your favourite TV shows. Where for me, I found this amazing little recipe to get super soft silky summer legs. At first I did not believe this would work because stuff like this never work but oh my! It worked and I couldn't stop stroking my legs. This recipe came from http://militaryfit-bombshell.tumblr.com and it is far better then everything you could ever buy from a shop for sure. You all need to try it.

Super Silky Summer Legs
Next time you are feeling down, about to binge, going on a date, or just need to pamper yourself, do this. I just did it and I can not stop rubbing my legs together. It feels like I paid for that over expensive pedicure at the salon.
Ingredients
1 1/4 C Sugar (Yup, plain, good-ol’ white sugar)
1/2 C Oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil)
3 tablespoons Citrus (Lime or lemon)
1-2 Razors
Mix everything together in a bowl.
Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes.
Shave your legs.
Rub some of this mixture all over your legs. The sugar will help rub off all dirt and dead skin. Rub, rub. Feels like a mini massage.
Rinse it all off, shave again. I would use one razor per leg if you have two. You will be rinsing this razor a lot. I was GROSSED out by the amount of dead skin I was “shaving” off. It was insane! Trust me, you’ll see.
Rub your legs again! Second coat of wax, oh yeah.
Rinse off! You can use a mild soap to help get some of the oil off.
Lotion your legs up, and feel the silkiness!
Now this isn’t just geared to ladies…. guys, if you want to get lucky, I suggest you offer to rub your ladies’ feet with this mix too. It feels awesome, and when you get lucky, you will be thanking me that her rough grandma feet aren’t cutting your legs, if ya know what I’m saying… hahaha.
I have silky arm pits too!!
Try it, I swear, You will want everyone to touch your legs.
You will need;
  • 1 1/4 C Sugar (Yup, plain, good-ol’ white sugar)
  • 1/2 C Oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil)
  • 3 tablespoons Citrus (Lime or lemon)
  • 1-2 Razors

  1. Mix everything together in a bowl.
  2. Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes.
  3. Shave your legs.
  4. Rub some of this mixture all over your legs. The sugar will help rub off all dirt and dead skin. Rub, rub. Feels like a mini massage.
  5. Rinse it all off, shave again. I would use one razor per leg if you have two. You will be rinsing this razor a lot. I was GROSSED out by the amount of dead skin I was “shaving” off. It was insane! Trust me, you’ll see.
  6. Rub your legs again! Second coat of wax, oh yeah.
  7. Rinse off! You can use a mild soap to help get some of the oil off.
  8. Lotion your legs up, and feel the silkiness!
This is perfect to get them really soft summer legs that everyone wants when wearing skirts and shorts. It's cheap, it's item from your household that everyone normally has. I have no doubt that once you have tried this, you wont't believe how amazing it is! This has got to be one of the best things you will ever try and you're welcome! I know you will love this as much as me. Get yourself ready for summer now! If you are in England, get your self ready for the tiny little bit of sun we get now and then.

Liebster Awards!

What are the Liebster awards some off you may be asking? Well I didn't have a clue what this one until I got nominated by two wonderful blogs: everything-nothing and Lucie's corner. These two blogs deserve for you to have a look out and even a follow. Well the liebster awards is where blogs under 200 followers get nominated by other blogs, they answer a set off question and tag another 11 blogs. I got nominated twice so I'm going to do both set off questions that the blogs above asked me.

Everything-nothing's questions:
What is your favourite book?
My favourite book is by far ‘The Help’. It’s about black people being white people’s maid and the problem that they have while working and the revenge they set out on the white people. A very funny book!

2. What made you start blogging?
I think it’s because I was reading other blogs and wanted my own. As I’ve finally finished school, I thought it was good timing to use spare time productive and will be more exciting things then just going school everyday.

3. Who is your all time favourite blogger?
It has just got to be Zoella! It was the first blog that I came across and I ended up reading most off her posts.

4. What is your favourite hairproduct?
At this moment it is currently Got2Be heat protection. It smells so nice and does a big job.

5. What country do you want to visit the most of all the countries in the world?
I really want to visit the United States and do a big road trip across the whole country. I have never been there before.

6. What is your favourite band/singer?
My all time favourite band which I have never stop loving is Maroon 5. Really need to go and see them live soon.

7. What is your favourite item that you own?
Well it’s my Goofy Teddy from Disney World from Japan my brother got from his hoilday, i am just a disney freak.
8.What color of nailpolish do you use the most?

Well at the moment as it’s summer (well kind off) and I’ve a bit more tanned now, it’s this pastel green nail polish.
9. If you could go back in time, how old would you want to be? and why?

I think it must be when I was about 5. It was the time when it was just me and my brother used to go the beach all the time, my grandparents were still here and my biggest worry was if it was too cold for my paddling pool.
10. What do you do on a cosy day at home?

These are normally my sundays. It is all about PJs, the duvet covers being brought downstairs with hot chocolate watching my favourite TV shows and catching up on the soaps.
11. What is your favorite TV series?

Well my all time favourite shows is Criminal minds and all the CSI’s. However for when I’m waiting for the new episode of these to come on, Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother is just a classic.

Lucie's Corner's Questions:

1. Why did you start your blog?
I think it’s because I was reading other blogs and wanted my own. As I’ve finally finished school, I thought it was good timing to use spare time productive and will be more exciting things then just going school everyday.(Same answer as above)
 2. Something you’ve recently learned?
Recently learnt a life lesson, high school will be a long distance memory and the people in there you are less likely to ever see again so don't get caught up on the drama.
3. Your favourite band/singer?
Like above, It's Maroon 5! While for the singer it's Ben Howard.

Little Freebie- Garnier Moisture Match

Everyone loves a little freebie don't we? No matter how small or big the freebie is, everyone does love one! A great website is www.magicfreebieuk.co.uk. This website is amazing, it's mainly competition or give-aways where there is only 200 for example, and you have a chance of winning. However there is some where you just get a free sample like I did here and tells you good sales and discounts that is happening. Everyone should go on there and have a look.

I got a moisture match by Garnier. I got three different samples, normal skin, oily skin and dull skin. It came in a little cute little folded up leaflet with the samples in the middle. It's a good size and giving me a range off different types to try.

Fully opened leaflet, how it came

This was such a good sample. I will be definitely be buying the moisture match for oily skin. I didn't even know Garnier did a range like this, it's new and these samples have really happened me choose the right one for me. I will be buying the full size bottle of the oily skin one, they are perfect for my skin.

So everyone should check out the freebie website and try out the garnier moisture match face lotions. I recommended them to you all.

High School Memory Box

Recently I have finally finished high school. Wow. I have been waiting for this day since the beginning off year 7 and it's came and I just thought to myself, five years have gone so quick. I'm going to admit, I am one of those people who completely hated high school and didn't have the whole school year as my friend. I stuck with it, stayed out off drama and did all the work and didn't really care about what everyone else is doing. Looking back, I've had some amazing times with some good friends who I won't ever forget.

The build up to the ending off school was filled with people writing in leavers book (writing how we were in the same class, memories and wishing me luck for the future and where they think I will be doing). While the last day was a leaver assembly where we sang our year's song and signing shirts and a lot of photo taking. I've decided to put everything from high school into a box and will be able to look back at in a few years.

What I've put in my leaver's memory box, little bits of high school.

The back off my shirt from the last day, sorry for any penis from my inappropriate friend

Two pages off my leavers book from my friend Lewis and Lucy, a page that doesn't have any embrassasing stories.
My two school ties, we changed ties when two schools combined as one

Some certificates that I achieved in high school, a netball one there! when I actually  ran

So here my little memory box from my last five years off school. When if you did hate school, do a little box or something! It is a big change, five years going and at a new land mark in your life. School did have some good times but I did have good friends who actually helped me through this time. Will actually truly miss the insane lot. Go and make your little memory box that you can have a look at in a few years time.

Cheeky Haul

So today, this happened! A shopping trip which lead to a big small on my face but a dent in my mum's bank account. It's all worth it to see me happy, I guess( well that's what I keep telling myself).

I ended up just mainly buying from Primark, new look and Dorothy Perkins!

So from Dorothy Perkins (www.dorothyperkins.co.uk), I got this cute little bow clutch. This bag is a goldish colour with a big glitter bow on the top, it's perfect for my prom! It's a good size, has a removable chain handle and it goes with the theme off my prom as well- bow ties and diamonds. This was in the sale as well, from £20 to £10. It was a good buy, I can see myself using this in the future for other event while I am just a lover off cute bows

Meanwhile from new look (www.newlook.co.uk), there was a big sale going on but I wasn't really liking anything apart from these jeans. The jeans were in the sale as well, costing only £11 from £22.99. The  jeans are super comfy, I'm wearing them now. The waist is a high one so there will be no builders' bums when you bend over. The colour is dark but has the acid wash look to it.
Jeans from newlook, sorry about unable to rotate the photo
While, the biggest shop for me was Primark. My gulity pleasure where if there is a sale they are super good but yet there products are still good, sometimes even better then other high street shops but yet a very reasonable price.

This skater skirt was only £8 while it comes with a little black belt. I'm most likely to change the belt and use maybe a little brown one. The skirts always look skirt but when I tried it on, it was a gold length! I'm not one of them girls who like half their bums out on show (people off England will understand what I mean). The texture off the skirt isn't just flat, it's like a waffer one. It's what to me, makes it better then the other high street shops skater skirts.

Close up off the texture off the skirt.
While this top is a plain white top with little spikes on the sleeves. The cut for the arms are lower down like a bigger cut. Making it good for summer as it's must cooler and was in the sale for only £3. This was just a must buy for me, making a simple white vest top a little edge.
The nice little simple vest top with butterflies. A nice little vest top which is perfect for summer, it's nice and light. It's only £4 and there was a little black and white striped one but there wasn't one in my size (sad times)
A collar vest top! Yes, I do love tops with collars. This top is very  very see through! It's one that will need something underneath or you will be showing a bit too much. This was also in the sale, only £3 and it was just a must have for my collection.

A little close up on the collar.
Shoe time! I didn't really like any off the shoes really but I find these little cute flip-flops. There was a range of colours: nude(like mine), white, black and I think there was a few more. These are so cute and I do love bows and thought it will be good for this summer. Hopefully it will stay hot and sunny.
Adorable flip-flops for £2.50
Then finally, I stocked up on essentials that most girls will have and for some reason they always go missing or ended up being ripped. How does socks always end up go missing in the washing machine? The socks were only like £2 and the tights were £3 for 3 pairs which come in a range of different thickness.

Prom Hair and Prom Dress Review

Firstly, Ahhhhhh! I am leaving school in a matter of days and reality hasn't hit me yet that I am leaving school for good and won't be sitting in lessons with the people who I have spent the last five years with yet I still hate school and so excited to finally be leaving. High School has been the hardest five years off my life so any off you still in school, my thoughts are going to be with you!

A few days, my prom dress that I ordered from www.dress.vponsale.co.uk came and I am in love with my dress so much, I feel like wearing it around the house everyday and all the time. My dress came packaged well, wrapped in a paper packaging with two other plastic packaging therefore it didn't get damaged on the way here so happy about that. The quality off the dress is very good and looked exactly like the website and the colour is what I want. The fitting is perfect as it was free to get the dress to my size like custom sizing and if you like, you can pick a colour from the range of choices they have on offer. Go and have a look on their website, there is like a discount going, free delivery and free custom sizing! What else is better than they eh?

Full Length off my dress, sorry about rubbish camera quality too

Close up on the detail on the front which I love with the dress

So this is coming to the most important part to be now! what to do with my hair? As you can see my hair is long and I am planning to have my hair down as I always have my hair down and feel more comfortable with it down. Just because it's prom, doesn't mean to have to go out on a mad one and change everything about you! So here is some off my prom hair ideas but not sure which one to have done. Hopefully these will give you some eyes on what to do as well.

So here on my hair prom ideas but if you got any, let me know! Pinterest and Tumblr is the website to look for ideas, they are just filled with loads off different hair styles: Up, Down, Half and Half, Straight, Curly. Go and have a look and I hope you all have a good prom!

Hows that year new resolution going?

It's the fifth month into 2013 and I bet the most of you have already forgot that new year's resolution that you set, which seemed to be years ago, on the 1st of January. Them new year's resolution off loosing weight, saving money up, spending less time at work and more with friends and family or to have a better work effort?

So how is your new years resolution going or have you just forgot about them already? Did you you just do it for a month and completely went back to your normal routine? Maybe you should think off a mid year resolution. Think off a new resolution for the summer or start back to your old one, you can do it and it's a challenge but when it's done you will feel so good on the last day off December when everyone having a cheeky little drink and cheering into the new year.

Mine was to read more and it's going pretty well, being a little slow when reading and having the stress of leaving school and 12 exams left to do and the biggest pile of last minute coursework, reading is calming me down loads and not really panicking like I thought I would be. I have brought my books from www.worldofbooks.com They are second hand books but most off my mine literally come good as new and you get 10% of your first order. If you ever need some books, buy it off there.

So give your self a mid year resolution, a summer resolution or give your old one another try and see how you go.
