Time to get ready for prom?

It's weird to think that nearly over a year ago, this was the point where I was starting to get ready for my prom! Prom is such a good school social event to go too, it's the first big dressy up event that we have in the UK, i think. I know in America, you kind of have homecoming and prom every year (I think, i'm not completely sure about that). However, prom is normally in the middle of the year but this is the time of year where you need to start organising everything really.

The dress

For girls, this is the biggie for the whole event. The dress, the dress that you are going to keep and see in every photo from the night. Therefore, you will need to make sure you pick a dress you definitely like. You can either go short or long, a range of different colours and style. Therefore, it needs to suit you while actually being a dress that you like as well. While there is the choice of a range of different materials to pick from as well.

Your Hair!?
Following up with your dress, your hair is kind of a big deal. You kind of have to decided if you want it up, down or half up/half down. The hairstyle will need to suit your dress, that may sound stupid i know. But what I want mean from this, that you may have long hair and beautiful detailing the back of your dress where if you had your hair down, you won't be able to see it. Therefore you may want to have it all up or even down but pushed to one side therefore still showing of your dress. While, it may be hard to find hair styles for your hair because of the length therefore here is some example of hair styles:

Make-Up?
What to do with your make up? Make-up is another thing to worry about. You can either get someone to do your make-up for you, a professional or a friend who is really good with your make-up or just do it yourself if you like. Other people may be more skilled and knows how to make everything look better but you may not like it. However doing it yourself, you can do everything exactly how you like but you might not have the skills which makes everything 'flawless'. With make-up, you can go in a number of different directions.

The natural look- Sometimes natural and simple is the best step to do. The effortless look can look it's best, the use of make-up to bring out your best features and give you more a flawless look. This can look stunning and effortless, specially at prom. Some people truly do go over board sometimes.

Heavy eyes- This looks consists of more make-up on the eyes. This can be winged eye liner and false eyeslashes or a smoky eye look. Most of the make-up will be in the eye and a simple lip helps to stop the make-up looking too much. A very effective look.

Strong lip- This make-up look is about having a strong lip colour and everything else being quite simple. This is all about having a strong lip colour, a bright red, a strong red, a dark purple/red. Make sure that the colour suits you and the colour of your dress.

Smoky eyes and a red lip- This make-up look can be different in a number of ways, a more glam look or more of a rock n roll look. Having a light smoky eye look with red lips can give you more of a glam look, my advice is maybe get a bit of your dress colour in your eye make-up if you can. Or instead, a colour that complients the colours of your eyes. To make your eye colour stand out even more. However on the other side of the look is the more edgey look. A dark smoky eye with a red lip. Gives more off an effortless rock n roll make-up look. For the smoky eye and a red lip look, be careful as it may seem you have gone too much and just looks like you have too much make-up on.

Hope all of this has helped you be prepared for your prom, the three key elements for a girl really. Comment below any other ideas or questions. Have fun planning prom!

Best of July

Can't beileve the 7th month off 2013 is already over and done with already. The months just seem to be going quick and decided to sit here and reflect on everything that has happened this month. Usually, I think I've wasted a whole month doing nothing so this way, I will be able to reflect on everything that has actually happened this month along with my favourite products off the month if there was any.

Firstly, there was my prom. The most exciting event that has happened this month. Honestly could off been done with the amazing teachers who organsied it all and was such a great night. If you want to hear more about my prom: dress, hair, few photos then click here and it will take you to my other post about everything.

Photo with my brother on arrival.
With my best friend since we were 5 year old.

While in England, there has actually been some hot weather. Few days were even hotter then Ibiza and Spain therefore I thought off enjoying the weather while doing something productive. I live near lots of farm and walking routes therefore I decided to do some walking along these marked out walking routes(no jumping over fences to private land) and had a good stroll down the lanes, enjoying the sun. Prewarning, don't forget a water bottle, finished 4 miles walking and water was needed.

While my favourite drink is 7 up Cherry! This has to be the best drink out off all the brands off cherry, this has the right cherry taste to it. I can't stop drinking it and only seem to find it in Tesco, so everyone who is a lover off cherry drinks needs to get this!
Lastly, I've decided to try and ombre my hair. Big shock to my hair, since I'm such a safe girl who doesn't dare to do anything to different with my hair. This was the first try with Live Salon Style in shade 9-5 which is frozen pear blonde. My hair was literally the same colour as my shirt so in one go it changed my hair to a light brown/ginger colour. Cant wait for it to all to go blonde!(Sorry for the most unflattering photo)

Lastly, my favourite bloggers on this month. Of course I am loving the big bloggers like Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter and Tanya Burr. However the top two who are little less known are HeyyyJune and The Lovecats Inc. Their blogs are so good so go and check them both out! Well that's the best off this month, that's it for this month.

Don't forget to follow my blog on GFC and Bloglovin. Hopefully one day, there will be a giveaway for you all. Hope you all have a good day.

Suffering From Prom Blues

The other day, I had my prom and now I'm suffering from the prom blues. The night was amazing, seeing friends again, seeing my teachers, everyone suited up and dressed up and being together as one again for the last time ever.

Everyone needs to go to their prom, it is one off the most amazing things ever. Specially if you have teachers like mine who spent endless hours planning my prom and the night was perfect. The dress I wore, which you may have seen before, was from vponsale dresses. The dress was custom to my size and lasted the whole night without falling down or needed to be adjusted. So lucky there wasn't any bits that were not meant to be seen or unattractive dress pulling. The clutch was from a haul before, from dorothy perkins.

Didn't know what was on the floor but full view off my dress.
Arriving at front I was faced with a photographer shouting stuff which I really didn't hear but was a good photographer. Took some good photos off the whole event. While my actually prom was amazing, there was dancing, awards that the year voted for and a few tipsy teachers at the end off the night. The teachers were shocked about how the year was so dressed up and grown up as they were used to use in our uniforms. Even got a kisses off my teachers on the cheek like I proper adult, never felt so grown up. So overall, prom was an experience I will never forget and something everyone should go too. I wasn't even planning on going to my prom, so glad I did in the end and encourage everyone to go to theirs. It is something you won't ever forget so matter what. Going to leave you with some photos from my night.

The photographer was Frank Henshall Photograhy. A photo with my close friends and the only one from the proper photographer. All the rest off the photos are from a friend in the year below me who was invited to my prom to take photographs. I prefer her photos then too the professional.

With my best friend Harry, the only photo we have together where we are not laughing or pulling silly faces.
With the girls just before we went into the hall.
With my best friend since we were 3 year old, having a little dance off with Harry and Lewis.
With my best friend Lewis near the end off the night.
I was smiling while laughing, Harry and Lewis said something funny and pulled their serious faces.
Just before me and Kirsty left to go, about the 40 photo mum took.
All the photos are taken from my friend in the year below, how amazing is her photography skills? Apart from two photos which you can tell from the quality. Everyone needs to go to their prom, it's a day off pampering, dressing up and a night you won't ever forget. Hope you liked looking through some off my photos and if you have any questions, just ask me. Happy to answer. If it's your prom soon, hope you have a great day!

Prom Hair and Prom Dress Review

Firstly, Ahhhhhh! I am leaving school in a matter of days and reality hasn't hit me yet that I am leaving school for good and won't be sitting in lessons with the people who I have spent the last five years with yet I still hate school and so excited to finally be leaving. High School has been the hardest five years off my life so any off you still in school, my thoughts are going to be with you!

A few days, my prom dress that I ordered from www.dress.vponsale.co.uk came and I am in love with my dress so much, I feel like wearing it around the house everyday and all the time. My dress came packaged well, wrapped in a paper packaging with two other plastic packaging therefore it didn't get damaged on the way here so happy about that. The quality off the dress is very good and looked exactly like the website and the colour is what I want. The fitting is perfect as it was free to get the dress to my size like custom sizing and if you like, you can pick a colour from the range of choices they have on offer. Go and have a look on their website, there is like a discount going, free delivery and free custom sizing! What else is better than they eh?

Full Length off my dress, sorry about rubbish camera quality too

Close up on the detail on the front which I love with the dress

So this is coming to the most important part to be now! what to do with my hair? As you can see my hair is long and I am planning to have my hair down as I always have my hair down and feel more comfortable with it down. Just because it's prom, doesn't mean to have to go out on a mad one and change everything about you! So here is some off my prom hair ideas but not sure which one to have done. Hopefully these will give you some eyes on what to do as well.

So here on my hair prom ideas but if you got any, let me know! Pinterest and Tumblr is the website to look for ideas, they are just filled with loads off different hair styles: Up, Down, Half and Half, Straight, Curly. Go and have a look and I hope you all have a good prom!

PROM TIME!

It's prom time!

For some of us, it's that time off year where you are revising for exams and sorting the last few days of school you actually have left. For me I have about 20 school days left, not like I am counting or anything tehe.

Prom must the only thing that is actually getting me through school, it's keeping me going through the last years and long nights of revision! Getting me excited for something that is coming and powering me through all the exams that will be coming to something that will hopefully be a good night and a little reward for all the work and effort I've put into everything!

Dress. To girls, I know this has got to be the most important thing ever for us at this point. People spend hours finding the right dress for them. I thought I will give you a few little tips to help finding the rest dress for you that tiny bit less stressful and more exciting.

Busty Girls. Girls who seem to have a bigger bust may want their boobs hanging out and showing however some may want to make it more classic and hidden a tiny bit more without squishing them flat down. You may want a dress that has less detailing around that area and even with straps.

Flatter Girls. You are more obviously want this area to look more full, well i do anyways i have this problem. Well I think a dress that has more detailing in this area will help give the illusions off a more fuller. Also may be an a-line dress will be able to complete this or a strapped dress.

Where to buy? Knowing what the right dress for you is just one off the problems, another is finding a good place where they sell the dresses that you are looking for. Some good websites that sell some dress that I found to be good are:
www.newlook.com- I was personally surprised at how good there prom dress actually were which are reasonably priced. The dresses are short and long range but the colours are limited.
a example of a dress from their website, really good style! the pricing is really good, this is about £50.

www.coast-stores.com - The dresses from here are really good quality and the colours are light and more pastel. The colours are good but only what is on offer, the pricing is much higher but the styles are a wider range

a dress from coast-stores.com, this is a dress I actually put this one on, it's really good quality and very flowy.

www.dress.vponsale.com- This is personally my new favourite shop and where I have got my dress from! The dresses are a wider range, different styles, able to change the colour to suit you and custom sizing for free. The dress are a range from short dresses, longer dresses, puffy dresses, simple styled, more detailed dresses. The negative is that it's only an online shop so unable to see what it looks like on you but if you know what type of dress you want, it's fine!.

My Dress
I thought I should share my dress that I will be wearing, this must be the only dress I really loved and I just fell in love with it the moment I've seen it. It's an dress inspired by what Selena Gomez wore on a red carpet, didn't realised until after I've brought the dress. The dress is from www.dress.vponsale.com. It's been customised to my size and was able to change it if I wanted too but decided to keep it the way it was.

So go on girls! Get your dresses or if you still not your prom yet, get looking and start getting excited! Hope you all find the right dress you love!
